Ben Roberts - web designer and client liaison |
 |
Ben has been the boss since launching webxtra 10 years ago. His web industry credentials are enhanced by the rare ability to liaise with clients in perfectly understandable and jargon-free plain English – hence the many satisfied customers keen to re-use Webxtra’s services as their business grows and develops.
The son of BSJA trainer and former show jumping Olympic team selector John Roberts, Ben grew up on the competition circuit and was a 1992 ‘Young Inventor of the Year’ finalist with his ‘automated pole elevator’. He served an apprenticeship as a draftsman/programmer in the steel industry, studied computing at university and embraced the emerging worldwide web by designing his first site in 1996 which was a pioneering concept of selling horses on the internet by video.
Ben now specialises in creating equestrian websites and online marketing campaigns for the likes of leading manufacturers Thorowgood and Prolite and showjumpers including Nick Skelton, Geoff Billington and Billy Twomey. |

Matthew works for many leading national magazines including Your Horse (the UK’s biggest-selling monthly equestrian title), Trout & Salmon, Country Walking and Trail. A typical week might see him photographing top-level riders at Badminton, salmon fishing on the Tweed, mountain biking in Spain or product shots in a studio.
