Ben Roberts, a freelance web designer, began trading as webxtra in 1998. His clients range from ladies swimwear shops in London to BP training centers in Azerbaijan. However, his upbringing determined his client base being predominantly equestrian and country sports based. Being the son of Yorkshire based showjumper and horse dealer, John Roberts, he developed a deep rooted understanding of the equestrian market from an early age. It was a natural progression to combine his professional skills with his afinity to equestrianism. As testament to this Ben founded Horse Select which was the first horse selling website to offer videos of horses in action; a pioneering site in its day which he ultimately sold.

The bulk of webxtra’s work comes from recommendations; the company boasts an extensive portfolio of contented clients in the equestrian and country sports industries.
